The monthly meeting of the Okain's Bay Koed Bourd wus hold on Satur day, Janufiry 'Btb. Present —Messrs J. H. Thacker (obairman), H. McHaie A. H Mclntosb, and A. W. Coffin.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed.

Mr Mclntosb explained that the beam complained o£ bad been placed as d bufi'or to protect tho trolly when vehicles were backing in to load, as not loog since the fcroliy had been broken in thi3 way, and cost the Board several pouods to renew.
On the motion of Mr S>?clntosb, it was resolved that Mr McHale's letter bo received and no action token,
Mr McHale reported that the Stouy Bay bridge had been partially repaired but se'rew jacks were needed to raise one corner.
It was decided £bat the County Council be ft?ked for tho loan oE two jacks for v few days. The clerk reported that about £180 wa3 outstanding in rates in each part of the district, and be was instructed to notify in the "Akaroa Mail" that 10 per eeofc would ba added after February Ist, and stops taken to re cover same.
Accounts amounting to £98 12s lid were passed for payment, and the Board adjourned.
