A Napier message says that the third annual Mardi Graa was held yesterday, despite rain, There were 74 exhibits in the procession, whicb was viewed by 20,000 people. Late in tbe afternoon sunny weather prevailed, and the McLean Park was vitited by 15,000 people. A pro: gramme of sports was carried out, and > tbare were the usual carnival attrac j tions Tbe proceeds are in aid of tbe Wounded Soldiers' Fund.
