A meeting of the Akaroa Branch was held last evenine at the Borough Council Chambers, His Worship the Mayor presiding over »large attendance.

Mr L Vangioni. in charge of the sports, reported that the following competitions would be held;— Professor Dooley'a cirous, old man's race. Aunt Sally, stepping oompatitioßS. ladies' and men's pillow fighting btopla, doodlum buck, hitting the Kaiser, nail driving for ladies and men. It was deoided to have a procession at the fete at about 4 p.m of a troupe specially organised for the purpose to make a tour of the ground and the town, and later just before the concert.

The collectors' lists were reoeived, showing a sum of £466 5s 6d, most of which was cash. Besides that, a great deal of stook, produce, and material for the different stalls and many other promises were received, which augurs well for the Fete on Thursday.

Ii was deoided to eend parts round the town on the morning of the Fete to colleat all produce, etc. for tbe stalls. A vote of thanks was passed to Mrs Cantrell for her tiuoaeiaful oonoert, which realised £60 odd.

It waa decided to draw the raffles in oondeotion with the Akaroa Carnival, "Bogash" and others, at the Duvauchelle Carnival.

It was decided to sell all the sheep donated .to Akaroa at the Fete, and send cattle and noma to the Duvauohello Fete.

Tbe seoretary reported that the hotel propr)otors bad kindly offered to put up the concert party.
