APPRECIATION OF NEW ZEALANDERS BRAVERY.
Wellington, Nov. 29. Colonel R. H. Rhodes, in a com munication to tbe Hon. J. Allen from Alexandria, states tbat at Anzao Lord Kitchener gave him tbe following message from tbe King for transmission to New Zealand :— "His Majesty tbe King desires me to express his appreciation of tbe bravery displayed by the New Zealand troops at Gallipoli, and says tbat be was proud of their achievements, that they had made a name for themselves in history, and tbeir deeds will never be forgotten "
