RED CROSS CONFERENCE.

TO BE HELD AT WELLINGTON

The Governor, Lord Liverpool telepraphs us as follows ;—

"As I have received many enquiries regarding Red Cross matters, 1 think it would be well to bold a meeting 1 with the object of coordinating effort and preventing overlapping. I pro pose, therefore, to invite two representatives from each of the four centres of the order of St. John, and one each of the sub centres, while at the same time I should be very glad if other societies working fcr the same object would also send one representa tive The whole position could then be discussed) and it is hoped that as the outcome of the meeting a more satisfactory working basis will be arrived at. It is proposed to hold the meeting at Government House, Wei lington, on Wednesday, November 10, at 10.15 am., and it is particularly requested that all societies desiring tc be represented will communicate with the aide de camp in writing, stating the name of tbe society, and also tbat of its representatives, so that some estimate can be formed as to the probable size of the meeting."
