OKAIN'S BAY

The monthly meeting of the Okain's Bay Road Board was held on Saturday. 9th. Present:—Messrs J. R- Thicker, (ohaicman). A. T. Mason and A. W. Cofiin.

Mt Mason reported that a pieoe of anmetalled road on Sefton's Bill road needed regrading before metal is put on, and was authorised to Ret same done.

Be Patriotic Fund, the chairman reported that the Le Bon's Road Board had parsed a ' similar reeolntion to that adopted by this Board recommending that the n/cessary sum required from the County be contributed by the Connty Council, by whioh means each district would pay its quota according to rateable value, but at a late meeting of the Council it was considered it would be difiS. I cult to finance for this, as the County rate > for the year had been already struck. After some discussion it resolved that this Board is still of opinion that the oourse j suggested la-t Board day is the fairest way .in whioh to meet the demand.
