The annual meeting of this Club was> held on Monday evening. Tbare was a small attendance, Mr E» Donnell in the chair
REPORI AND BALANCE SHEET
Tbe report and balance sheet were adopted as under:—
Your committee has much pleasure iv placing before the members the 23rd annual report and balance sheet. The receipts, inoluding credit for last year, amount |to £17 3s 53, expendi ture £14 10a Bd, leaving a credit balance of £2 12s 9d. The membership of the Club is not so large on account of the departnre of several of the Club's members from Akaroa. During the season four handicap tournaments were held. Miss E. Lelievre is to be congratulated on winning the ladies' singles, Misspf M. Fergus and E. Lelievre on the winning nf the doubles. In the junior tournaments Miss N. Lelievre won the singles, and Misses W. Lelievre and E. Rhodes the doubles Aβ there are so few gentlemen players in tbe Club no men's tournaments were held tbis peason; also for the same reason we were unable to accept challenges from the outside clubs Thanks are due to the ladies who so kindly pro vided afternoon tea, especially to Mies Taylor, who arranged the teas witb such regularity. It nto be hoped that before tbe season opens arrangements will be made for tbe repainting of the lines on the courts.

Three new members were elected,
OpeniDg day was fixed for Thnrs day, October 28th.
Votes of thanks were passed to Mr J S. Dodds, the auditor, and Miss Fergus for acting on the committee.
It was left to Mr Donnell to arrange re painting the courts.
Mr lonnell moved the Council bf approached and asked to renovate one court immediately as the courts were breaking up badly. Seconded by Mies Lelievre and carried.
The members of the Club serving at the Dardanelles were made financial members. . .. ' The meeting then terminated.
