Opportunity will be taken by Messrs Hobb3 and Webb, organising secre taries of the Canterbury Patriotic Fund, to explain the objects of the fund. Some diversity of opinion exiats as to whether the funds raised by the gala should be controlled by a Peninsula committee or sent to Christ Church to bo joined to the general Canterbury Patriotic Funds. In any ease the question of including outside members on the Cbristchurch commit toe will be fully discussed.
