PROGRESSIVE EUCHRE TOURNAMENT.
A? Progressiva Euchre -Tournamen) and Social was hold in tho Town Hall, Little Biver, in honour of Privates'J B Bwaclel cud H Milligan, who ara und .r orders to leave with the 6th Reinforcements.

The first part of tho tidiiins was devoted to cards, whioh were pliyeri up till 10 p.m , when supper was served, after which dancing was kept up tili nearly two o'clock. Durin ,- tbe evening, presentations wera made to Infantrymen Wwadel r.ud Milligan, of an Auto Strop raaor nnd ense ot pipss respectively. The presentation waa made by the BevER Mules in the absence of Mr J 0 Coop, chairman of the Patriotic Committco, from whom apologies were made Mr Sworlel, when here, was ..most iv everything that was going.
Mr Milligan, who his been away for some time, w»8 when hero an active member of the Kinloah dsfenoe Kills Ciub, and a fair _b/>t.
Thuse two men left for Christchurch ibis morning with tbe good v. iahe.. of a larpe nnihber of friends, who f*_._tered to see tLem off.
The prices for the Euohre tournament were won as follows.
Ladie'a first, Miss Bene Newton, Gent's fin., Mr R Mackay, Lcdie's booby, Mrs H Crump, Gent's booby, Mr Grey Shipper.
