The arrangements for the ereotion of a cheese f&otory at Cooptown, Little River, are now complete, and Mr Bacon, of Gere, who has undertaken to erect the factory, fans agreed to have the building completed and the plant ready for the reception of milk by September Ist. The faotory is to be erected ft Cooptown, next ta Mr J. Johnson's prop' ert<, and close to the river. The faotory will be buift by a Gore builder, and Mr Bacon will instal portion?, of a plant from a cheese factory he owns in the Gore district. who is one of the most expert cheese manager in New Zealand, will be manager of tbe faotory himself. Supposing tbe suppliers do not take over the factory al the end of tbe present seaeon. Mr Baoon has agreed to manufacture the cheese at the coat price of other fnotories with the same output, but the prioe will not exceed Id per lh for manufacture. A suppliers' committee will control the interests of suppliers. The plant must be installed to their patiafaction, and t>-ey will generally watch the intereßte of suppliers as n whole.
The Rite chosen for the factory is as central as possible for the suppliers from the Okute and Puaha valleys.
It is expected that the (wo Little River creameries will have a certain supply, which will be large enough for them to carry on throughout the season.
