LE BON'S BAY

The monthly meeting of the Board on the 26th ult. was attended by Messrs W. Q. Dalglieh (chairman), F. C. Aldridge, A. F. Leonardo, and A, A. Macpbail The previous minutes were read and confirmed.

The chairman reported having antb orised 10 days' work in reply to Mr J. Thacker's application. R-« motor regulations, it was decided to await the answer from the Council.

Correspondence was read—

From S W. Crotty asking for alter ations in bis property on the valuation roll.

From Akaroa County Council asking the chairman to attend a meeting at Duvaucbelle re power from Jbake Cole ridge.

The chairman reported hie inability to be present, at the same time stating that at present there was no likelihood of any extension to Le Bon's being applied for. Frcrm J. J. Elliott offering services aa ranger at 8" per week.

Tbe olerk said be had been instructed to acoept the above offer, and to appoint J.J.Elliott, in conjunction with 0. Anderson and P. Barnett.

From Meares and Williams enclos ing cheque from Mr Barnett, £76 13? land purchase on tbe road exchange, and asking tbe Board to forward the smount due as compensation, £1519s 7d.

In the matter of the fall in part of thu rubble wall on the warf xoad, Messrs Barker Bros, offered to re erect it if tbe Board supplied the cement. The members agreed to inspaot this, and the new road on the 30th inst.
