AKAROA COUNTY RACING CLUB.
DELEGATE TO N.Z. RACING
The committee of the Akaros County Racing Club held a meeting on the 12th inst, principally to consider a letter from the A c hburton Racing Glub strongly recommending that country clubs represented on tbe New Zealand Racing Conference by Mr Hugo Friedlander should request tbat gentleman to reeign hip position, as such because of bis German origin, and after a good deal of discussion it was unanimously resolved tbat tbe following reply be sent to tbe Aeh burton Club:—
" That this Club is of the opinion that it is highly desirable, under the circumstances, that Mr Friedlander should resign bis seat as district re preventative of country olubs on tbe Racing Conference, and is of the opinion be will readily do cc if re quested by the olubs be represents, but failing bis adopting this oourse, this club is of the opinion that tbe Racing Conference, on which he site, should be the body to take further action."
