On Saturday afternoon a match was played bee ween the above teams, South wincing by three points to oil. As the weather was so bad on Saturday morning there eeeetned little hope of playing football, but ii cleared up about 2. 30. in the afternoon and it was deoided to proceed with the game, ' both teams having two men ehorfc. From start to finish (he game was very interesting, rhere being no score in the first half, but the North end bad the better of the game holding South in their twenty five line, After half time, both team 3 played a very slenUOU3 game, and it was hard to tell which team would win, tut a few rein utes before the game was finished W. Newton mude a fine run aad Fcored for the south. During the game H. Lolievre , J. Shepherd, W. Haywatd, and B. Hammond played a good game for the North, while W Newton, J Monro, F, Hemingway, B. Thomas, and H. Pool for the South, I
After the football mutch was over the High School girlg kindly eiiter taincd the footballers to afternoon tea, which was very much appreciated.
