ARRANGEMENTS FOR PAT RIOTIC GATHERING.

A meeting was held in tbe Borough Council Chambers, Akaroa, on Saturday evening to make arrangements for tbe patriotic gathering to be held on the King's birthday, June 3rd. The committee appointed, consisting of His Worship, the Mayor, Revs. Julius and Hayward, Messrs Hall and Thomas.

The following programme was ar ranged for tbe patriotic meeling on Thursday, next, June 3 ; d, at tbe Oddfellows' Hall:-

Doors open 7 p tn., admission free A collection will be made on behalf of tbeN.Z. HoƟpitat Ship. The meeting will open with tbe National Anthem, followfd by an ad dress by the Mayor. Tbe speaker? during tbe evening will be Rev Father Bonetto, Rev Hayward, Mr Hall, Rev. Julius and Mr Bruce
