PRESENTATION OF CLUB PRIZES,
The members ani friands of the Wainui Rifle Club held a m.e*ing in the Library on Wednesday afternoon fnr junpi ■• ut pr_«fnL ing Club prizes and the .wearing in of new members. There wbb a good attendance, and Mr J. J Donovan, c'nb captain, compli. mented tbe member, au their attendance and the good shooting carried on throughout the year. He also said he thought the olub was doing good work, and this was evidenced by the pr"Benfc war, in which several of the club members ware taking pnrfc. Armstrong, Mayor of Akaroa, for being present at the gathering, and asked him to present the prizes.
Mr Armstrong thanked the club member. for their invitation to be present to give nnv assistance at functions of ihe kind. He then presented tho foilowi.if. priz»e -. —

At the conclusion of the gathering three cheers were given for Mr G. Armstrong and for Mr 3. 3. l)ono&an, dun captain.
Seven new ciub members were sworn in before Mr G Armstrong, J.P.
