AHNUAL PARISHIONERS'

MEETING.

The postponed annual meeting of the parishioners of Bfc. Peter's Church was held at the Church last evening, the vicar (Rev. A. H. Julius), in the chair.

The Churchwardens' report was adopted as under: Iα presenting the annual report and balance sheet we have pleasure in stating that the finances are in a slightly better position than last year. The offertories show an increase of over £20, while the subscriptions are. also some £3 in advance, owing to the special efforts of Mr G, Obeckley, who kindly collected a sum of £18 18s We regret, however, that the liabilities are still heavy, although some of the old standing accounts have been liquidated daring the past year. One very gratifying work has been the completion of a moet up to date vicarage and Btabling, and tenders havj been accepted for the erection of a parish room, which is expected to be completed at an early date. The following officials of tbe church were appointed for the coming year:—Parishioners' Warden, Mr T. E.Taylor; Vicar's Warden, MrC, W Leefce; Vestry, Messrs H. Mottram, G, Checkley, H. G. Youngman, H. RNewton, W. E. M. Jacobson, J. B. Wbitham, W. H. Buckland, T, Stewart, L. Kay, and W. W. Williams.

Mr T. E. Taylor reported that Mr Leete had been elected synodsman. Votes of thanks were passed to Mr 0. H. Flavell for auditing the church boobs, Misa Westenra, Mes3rs Walker and Hayward for presenting of the flag and staff to the church, the church workers, choir, Sunday school teach ers, and a hearty vote of thanke to Mr Leete for bis 13 years of work as church warden. Mr Taylor moved that tha new i parish room to be built be used entirely for church work. The motion was carried. Tea vicar moved a vote of thanks to the lay readers of the parish, Mrssrs T. E. Taylor, G. W. Thomas. P. G. Armstrong and G. H. O'Callaghan. Seconded by Mr Leete and carried.
