HIGH COMMISSIONER'S RE PORT.
The Prime Minister has received the following from the High Commissioner :—
London, April 29 1.25 a.m.
' The day was relatively calm
At Champagne the Germans took three hnndred metres of advanced trenches.
In tbe region of Beausejour the Allies regained one half.
Tbe War Office announces that in face of continual opposition the troops established themselves across Gallipoli Peninsula at a point northeast of Eski Bessarlin to the mouth of a stream on the opposite side, beating Sari Bair, and steadily advancing. The troops overcame wire entangle meats on land and under sea, and deep pits with spikes at the bottom ".
