ANNUAL MEETING

The twenty fifth annual meeting of ■he above club was held in tbe Teob-

nical school, Akaroa, on Wednesday last, when there was a small attend

anoe of members, Mr C Hall, club oaptain, being in the chair The annual report and balance were presented by Mr K. Bruce, n,m p. cmary and treasurer, and were I adopted.

for their donations, and the •« Akaroa Mail " for full reports of football doings. The report also thanked tbe ladies for their many hind services in helping in club functions.

clay .— 100 yds, place kicking competition, line kioking oorapetitioo, drop kicking competition, following up long punt competition, dribbling competition, Twenty minute ppells football between two teams picked by the selectors. v The following names were adopted as referees to bn pent to (be Union : — Messrß A. Oray, 0. Hall, 0. Goodwin and H. W. Wilkms A bearty vote of tbanks was passed to the ladies and officials. Mr Jacobson moved—This meeting plaoe on record its appreciation of the action of those members who had volunteered for active service, and that they be retained us members of the club until their return. Seconded by Mr Micbell and carried. Mr Miohell moved it ba a recommendation to the Peninsula sub-Union referees act on their own grounds Seoonded by Mr Moss and carried. The chairman moved it be a recom mendation to the sub Union that the Banner competition be abandoned during the war, but that the snb Union arranged the matches as usual. Seconded by Mr Goodwin and car. ried. It was deoided to enter a team for the competition. The question of travelling expenses was dieousged, as it wae thought that JB9 7a was too much to pay.
