HEAVY TURKISH LOSSES
The Prime Minister has received tbe following from the High Commissioner :-—
London, April 22 1.15 p.m "Enemy's losses in the recent action at Shaiba, Persian Gulf now estimated at two thousand five hundred.
Five hundred and fifteen prisoners brought to Basra on Baturnay. Pursuing parties found Turks every where in disorganised retreat by road and river in Arab craft of thirty to forty tons burthen. Twelve of the latter were captured or sunk
No enemy is now nearer than fifty miles of Basra.
