CHEESE FACTORY AT LITTLE RIVER.

A meeting was held in the Little River school on Thursday evening, to consider a proposal to erect a oo operative cheese factory in the district. Tbere was a large attendance: Mr W Radford was voted to the chair, and explained tbe object of tbe meeting.

Messrs Pettigrew, Vogan and Brownlee of Barry's Bay, and Mr Clayton, Government grader, attended and gave much useful information.

After a general dioussion it was decided on the motion of Mr Radford, that a committee be elected to select a suitable site and to ascertain the number of cows likely to be available, and report to a meeting to be held on Thursday, April 22ud.

The committee was elected as follows :—Messrs J Johnson, M Barclay, T Mould, T Maffey and W Bad ford.

Tbe meeting concluded with a hearty vote of tbaDks to the visitors.
