Messrs Peni and Paurini will be in charge of a Maori oven, or Haangaii, where those who wish to see Maori cooking can see sheep, ducks, etc., roasted for tho sum of 6d.
Mr W. Fergus, lessee of the Municipal Baths at Akaroa. has kindly placed the baths at the disposal of tbe committee on tbe Harvest Festival Day. March 18. If the' weather is suitable, it is hoped tbat a water oarnival may be arrranged. Mesdames Peni, Keefe and other ladies from Tikao and Onuku are holding a native stall at the Akaroa Recreation Ground on March 18*b, where all the various native made baskets, etc.. will be on sale.
At a meeting of tbe sports committee last night, an attractive programrr.e was drawn up, which we will publish in full next issue
