FREEZING WORKS BURNT.
13,000 CARCASES DESTROZED,
Napier, March 4
The North British Freezing Works were the scene of another fire early this morning. The outbreak started in the office, and spread to tbe freezer. The former were totally destroyed, and the latter so seriously damaged that it will need rebuilding. About 13,000 carcases of mutton were de stroyed, but, fortunately, a light easterly breeze was blowing at the time, otherwise the whole structure would have been razed.
