Sir,—lt seems a strange thing that Mr Wj H. .Banning persists in misconstruing any statement I make. On no have I ever said there was more water in the Greban Valley than in the Balguerie creek. What I said at the last Counoil meeting was that I thoußht there was more water flowing down the creek below the intake in Grehan Valley (ban there was in Balguerie stream. I would call Mr Henning's attention to the old saying, "those who live in glasß houses should not throw stones." Mr Henning is quite welcome to criticise any ef my aotions as a publio man; but let the critioism be manly and above board. There is nothing gained by stating untruths.—l am, eto ,
