LADIB'S DAY,

A very euccesful ladies' day was held at the Akaroa Bowling Club yesterday. There was a large attendance of lady friends of the members, and all the rinks were employed Some of the ladies put in good work, getting the "shot," whether from good luck or good play it would be difficult to say. Afternoon tea|iras dispensed to all. Mre V. V. Masefield in particular worked hard to supply all vvitb afternoon tea, which was much appre I ciated.
