FLOOD IN THE THAMES.
London, January 6. Continued rain and high Ppnng tides caupel tha flooding of tho upper leaches of the Thames. Cattle and pigs were swept away. The Eton playfields and Oxford Park are lakes. At Reading bakers and grocess are de livering goods through upper windows. The lighthouse keepers on the coast are cut off, but have supplies for five weeks.
Tbe forewent? years are being experienced in the Thames valley Considerable damage has been done in the Fen country, Somerr set and Salisbury, and the canon is flooded. A number of tbe Canadian force was drowned.
