Susbu Ellen Dowdlo. bO ynnr'i nge, wife of .Francis Dowdle, of Spencerville, near Chanay's, com mitted suicide about 8 80 a tv, lo day by shooting herßalf. A sevei.-cha.inber ed revolver wan found near her body with one cartridge discharged. Mi 6 Dowdlo had evidently placed the muzzle in her mouth aud fired. She was found bouse minutes later ly her husband, and was then j.u-it expiring. She bod been despondent of late, and had been attended by Dr Gibson

An inquest will be held to day by Mr H. W. Bishop, District Coroner.
