The Fourie brother?, who were both formerly offioers of the Defence Force, have lieen fc ried by court martial and sentenced to death. The eider bi other bitterly reproached the British with theif conduct in the Boer War,.and declared that they had in jured Boer traditions at every opportunity, There was, he considered, greater honour to stand before the court a prisoner than to be an officer of the British army. He added that there were enough people on the veldt to rescue Africa.
Johannesburg, Dec. 20.
Captain Fourie has been shot. His brother's sentence .wag commuted to five years' penal servitude.
