THE FIJIAN CONTINGENT.
Wellington, December 3. The Governor of Fiji recently of fered a European contingent of volun fceers to the Imperial Government for Rervice in Europe. The Imperial Government replied that it would be very pleased to accept the services of the contingent, and suggested that the most suitable method of making use of the force would be to have it in eluded in the New Zealand contin gent. At the request of the Imperial authorities, the New Zealand Government has now accepted the Fijian volunteers for inclusion in the rein forcementg for the front. Fiji bearing ;ne full cost. It is hoped that the Fijian contin jent will arrive in time to accompanj ,be third reinforcements. On arriva hey will undergo preliminary iostruc ion, ftfc the Tronthara outup.
