"Akaroa District High School.—The com" mittee accepted the tender of Mesars Hay loci and Newton at Is 8d pe." yard for mixing and laying asphait and concrete and levelling ground the commit'ee tosupp'y the materials. The work of asphalting will cost between £70 and £75 It is intended to carry out the beautifying of the grounds later. The hill below the school will be cub into three terraces, with a l<vel piece between each terrace. The committee had an excellent scheme given them by the Board's gardener, which they intend tc follow ous.
