AUSTRALAIN WOOL SALES,
CROSSBREDS BRING HIGH
Melbourne, October 27.
At the wool sates there is a big attendance, arid good wools of all sorts are in strong demand, and, though American and Japanese representatives are present, practically all the purchases were made on York shire account. The chief demand is for crossbreds, which ruled from 15 to 20 per cent, above last year's opening rates for merinos. The best classes showed a fall of 5 per cent., secon daries 15 per cent, and inferiors 25 to 83 per cent.
