Tennis—The Domain Tennis Club is bold ing its opening on Thursday next. Tha two new courts are now playable, and members will appreciate tbe extra accommodation. Akaroa Boating Club—The opening oj the season takes plaoe on Monday next, Labour Day, when all friends are cordially invited Ladies races have been apeoially arranged, and a good afternoon's amusement is expected. A social will be held in the Club's room in the evening. Akaroa Butmr Factor*;— Last week's output of butter totalled one ton of butter whioh should be considered very satisfactory Yesterday the amount of cream received toi tailed 35771b5! There have been three additional suppliers, and several more are sending in oream later. The amount bLcream supplied has surpassed expectations already and with the satisfactory prioe of butter, the promoters of the company should feel quite confident of the unqualified sucoess of tbe undertaking. The whole of the output has been classed first grade, and shares are being freely applied for.
