[FHOM OUR CORRESPONDENT,] FORMATION OfTjRIOKET OLUB A meeting was held in the Town Hall, Little River, last) night for the purpose of forming a cricket club. Mr T. Thompson was elected chairman, It was decided that the name of the club 'be the Wairewa Cricket Club. 'The following officers were elected : —Patron, Hon. W. Montgomery, presidents, Messrs J. F. Jackson were appointed joint secretaries and treasurers. Mr E. Samuels was elected club captain. C A committee was appointed as fol lowa :—Messrs T, Thompson, G Rad ford, T. Williams, W. Tini, J. Tini, J Scoullar and H Lewthwaite. Subscriptions were fixed at 53. It was agreed to open the season 3 on Saturday, 17th October, on the 5 Awa Iti Domain, a match being ar r ranged with the Native members of ihe club. AH details of the opening day were left in the bauds of the committee. Mes3is Radford and Lewfchwaite were appointed a deputation to meet fho Domain Board re a concrete pitch nn tbo Domain.
