Messrs H. Matson & Co. held a stoob sale at Little Biver on Tuesday last, when there was a faily large yarding of cattle, though there were very few sheep. The market was considerably affected by the continued dry weather, and on this account the sale was rather a dragging one outride the big lines sold on behalf of Messrs J. F Buchanan and .' J. Jamieson. The continued dry weather is being muoh more severely felt on the Little Biver side of the h 11 tban in the Bays, and this probably accounts for Tuosday sale being so muoh less brisk than the Duvauehelle sale held the previous Friday There were a good many pass ng« though all forward slock sold readily enough.
