Mrs Wilkins moved the adoption of the report and balance sheet. Seconded by Mrs Kerridge, and carried. ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting was then held. There was a good attendance of members, Mrs Bruce in .the chair. The report and balance-sheet were adopted as under : —-
" For the first time since its inception the Wai Iti Croquet Club can report that it has no longer a debit balance. Last year we started tbe season owing £6 7s sd, but we start this year with a clean sheet. It is regrettable, however, that a number of members have resigned, and the committee hopes that more will be persuaded to join. ' Last season was a most successful one, and the club had two matches—one against a local team and the other against a Kaituna team. It is hoped that there will be a proper tournament this year, as the players are quite ready for same. The green has been top dressed very lightly. A number of members have been busy eradicating weeds, and the green is the better for this volunteer work. Wishing .the club another successful season.—For the committee, E M. Jacobson, Hon. Sec,"
