CHRISTCHURCH CUSTOMS CASES.
MoKINNON BEFORE THE COURT Wellington, October 5. John Alexander McKinnon, the young man who was arrested at Home in connection with the Christchurch Customs case, arrived from London under escort this morning, and was brought before the Magistrate's Court en eighty-two charges, involving tbe misappropriation of £3000 in Christchuroh. In Court he was formally charged with the theft of £44, the property of Ihe New Zealand Express Company. Accused asked for bail, and he was remanded to appear at Christchurch to morrow (Tuesday).
Bail was fixed in>£soo,- or two sureties of £250 eachf
