DUVAUCHBLDB MONTHLY STOCK SALE.

A FIRM MARKET,

The fortnightly stook sale was held at Davanohelle on Friday, when there was an entry of over 300 bead of cattle. There was ft good attendance of buyers, and the sale was a good one almost everything in the yards clearing at prices considerably in Advance of previous sales. There was a whole race oooupied by fat oattle, and the prices realised showed that beef had advanced very considerably during the past fortnight and month. The sale of fat cattle wa« a record one for a Peninsula cattlfc sale. The oattle were in excellent condition, and the range of prices was as follows:—Fat bullocks £10 5s to £16 4s, fat heifers £6 15s to £13 10s, fat cows £6 15s to £10.

There was only a moderate jarding of springer?, mostly of a secondary quality, and they sold from £5 Isj to £8 2s 6d, Store cattle were very much firmer in prices, and sold coosiderab y above prioes realised at recent sales, showing that the depression caused by the war is practically now removed.
