PENINSULA LAND SALES.
HIGH PRICES FOR GERMAN BAY PROPERTY.
Messrs W. D. Wilkins & Sons held a most puccepsful land sale at Duvauchelle on Friday last, when tbey offered five parceis of land aggregating some fifty acres of land. German Bay is famous for its high class capture land, which is especially excellent dairying country, but the prices realised on Friday seem almost too high even for such fine property. The sale was a spirited one, all selling with the exception of Lot 5, of 22 acre*', which was passed in at £8210?, tbe reserve on this lot being £35. The prices realised for the other four lots are as follows :'■ —
Lot 1—22 acres, fronting on roam coaoh road, German Bay, started £30, pold £50 per acre to Mrs C. Whitehead, German Bay. Lot 2—2 roods 8 perches, adjoining the blockhouse reserve, German Bay flat, sold to Mr Geo. Hammond for £67 10s
Lot 3—2 acres 35 perches, situated German Bay, sold to Mr Arthur Hunt for £470 There is a dwelling bouse on the property. Lot _—1 acre 2 roods, German Bay flat, with stable situated therein, sold to Mrs Whitehead for £215. Lot 5—22 acres, on Germ«n Bay bill, -adjoining the property of Mr W.Sunckellj was passed in at £32 10s.
At the Duvauchelle sale on Friday the N.Z. Farmers' Co-op. Association offered the property of the trustees in the estate of Charlotte Ann Wright, consisting of 20 acres, and situated on the Kaik road. '"' There are a number of buildings on the property, including an eight-roomed bouse The property was passed in at £38 per acre. !
