FIRE AT LAKE COLERIDGE.
BABY INJUEED. - LAKE COLERIDGE, July 6 A fire broke out in a tent at 5 p.m. yesterday, resulting.in severe injury to 8 child and the loss of the oeoupants'personal efi'eots. The tent was occupied by Mis Saxon and her two children. Shortly beforo 5 p.m. Mrs Saxon took the elder of the two children with her to an adjacent building to prepare tea The baby was asleep when she left the tent, and the fire seemed safe. About 5 p.m. Mr Wm. McDonell. who was living in a tent nearby, heard the baby soreaming and rushed out and found the tent enveloped in flames: With great presence of mind he dashed a backet of water into the tent and succeeded in rescuing the child. The prompt action of McDonell undoubtedly saved the child's life. As it v» as the child was severely burned and had to be taken to the doctor at Coalgate for treatment.
