STEWART—RHODES.

On Wednesday, June. 10th, there was a quiet wedding in tbe Wainui church, when Robert Alexander btew art, eldest son of Mr Thomas Stewart, French Farm, married Miss Alice Viles Rhodes, .daughter of Mr. Ambrose tihodes, of Little River. . The ceremony was performed at 8 a m by Rev. A. EL Julius, vicar of Akaroa parish, The bride; who wore a becoming navy blue costume, was given away by her father. She was accompanied by one bridesmaid, Miss Maggie Stewart, sister of the bridegroom. Mr Alan Shad bolt, son of Mr P. Shadbolt, of French Farm; was best man. Owing to the very wintry weather and the early hour there were only a few people in the church. Mr and Mrs Stewart drove away from the church immediately tbe ceremony was concluded,'to catch the Little River train en route to Ohristchurcb. Their new home will be in Island Bay, Wainui.
