Tbe above teams met in tbe second round of the flag matches on Saturday last, when a bard and' fast game was played. About ten minutes after the game had started, Hawk?, one of the Wairewa five-eights, Ftruck his head against one of the goal posts when running to touch down, and was rendered unconscious. P. Birdliug took his place. The game was even throughout both spells, the ball travelling up and down tbe field, and though both fullbacks touched down a number of times no score was re gistered. For Star C. Londrigan, C. Ferguson, V. Joblin, E. White and Usher played well, while C Reed, L. l-> lib, H. French, Livingstone and Dierck played _well for Wairewa. Mr T Williams was referee.
