CHILD FOUND IN GRAVEL PIT.
MOTHER CHARGED WITH MURDER
Palmers-ton North, June 4,
The coroner held an inquest today into the death of a newly born child found in a gravel pit on May 25, Detective Sweeney stated that a single girl n medLydia Schultz admitted being the mother of the child. Medical evidence was given to the effect that the child had lived, death being due to strangulation. The coroner returned a verdict of wilful murder against Schultz, who was subse' quently committed for trial.
