LE BON'S BAY ROAD BOARD.
The usual monthly meeting was held on the 30ch inst.; present— Messrs W G. Dalgiisb (chairman), J. Pettersen, A, A. Mncphail, A. F. Leonardo and F. 0. Aldridgp,
The returning officer reported that Messrs F. C. Aldridg-e and A. A. Macphail bad been duly returned at cbe annual election, and on the motion of Mr F. Leonardo, seconded by Mr J. Pettersen, Mr W. G. Dalglish was unanimously elected chairman for the ensuing year.
The members v*ho visited Mould's road reported arranging for temporary repairs, and it was decided to put tbe Board's men on the work in the spring.
Tho chairman stated he bad made arrangements with Mr H. Elliott for •rupervii-iDg the walling on the near end of the Wharf road contract.
Correspondence waa read—
From Messrs J. T, Knight and H. Harris r8 alterations in tbe valuation roll.
From Mr P. 'Harris, asking tbat tho diversion road be repaired to enable bim to get- out firewood.
Proposed by Mr F, C. Aldridge, seconded by Mr W. G. Dalglish, that members visit the road on June 6, with power to authorise necessary work.
From Mr 0. Fredericksen, acknow 'edging letter of thanks. Received.
Quotations from Homebu r -h Company for supply of piping fer culverts were received.
Tbe clerk stated he had ordered the eqnired quantity.
From the Board's engineer and solicitors regarding the exchange on Barnett's road, matters having reached a deadlock temporarily.
From tbe Bank of New Zealand re usual overdraft.
The motion was moved by Mr W. G. Dalglish, and seconded by Mr A. A. Macpbail and carried unanimously, tnat tbe overdraft be £400.
Applications for culverts were received from Messrs L. McCullough and (J. J- Crotty.
Tho matter was left for consideraion till next meeting.
Dawber'a Road,—The Board if solved to metal two short portions of this road, Messrs Maophail and Aldridge to inspect and authorise the work when convenient for the Board's employees.
An application from the Factory Company for catting willows on tbe viHin road was granted.
Tbe foreman's report was received nd considered 'satisfactory, and in ■r. dc ioni*- were for future work.
Mr Bar-DBtt waited upon the board « the road exchange, and arrangement were made whereby it is pro onble that matters may b9 finally arranged with tbe Public Works Department, Wellington.
On the motion of Mr A. A. Mac* pbail, seconded by Mr J. Pettpi--i j n l accounts to the amount of £35 8s 7d were passed for payment, and itsi' meeting adjourned.
