UNITED BAYS v. IE BON'S

It is some years now sine 6Le Bod s was represented in any of the sports in wbicb nearly every bay on the Peninsula is represented, and it was pleasing to note the signs of revival on Saturday last, when a Lβ Bon's Bay cricket team visited Duvauehelle, and made a very creditable showing against United, despite the fact that uaany players bad not handled bat nor ball for two years or more. A little practice would make the Le Bon's team doughty opponents, but at pre sent they have neither ground or material. A little enthusiasm will, we hope, produce a first class team next season, for there are plenty of players available in the Bay, and it appears only a little interest is required to provide the club with a fine ground. There is no reason why a junior football team could not com pete in the Peninsula junior competition as well. The Le Bon's batting was not first-class, owing to want of practice, but in the field they made a good showing. Prebble and Moinis are both capital bowlers, and the fielding was smart and keen. In batting for United, A. F, Shadbolt 28 and W. Shadbolt 19 made the best stand, the side playing a solid innings for 90 runs. Following are the scores:— LE BON'S.
