ARRIVAL AT THE . BLUFF.

Invercrrgill, April 27

General Sir lan Hamilton arrived at the Bluff by the Moeraki this morning. He was met by General Godley and the Mayor of the Bluff. After an inspection of the bodyguard General Hamilton said it was the first time be had come in contaot with New Zealand troops since the war in South Africa, where they rendered distinguished service. As a colonel who had served in the Gordon High' landers all his life, and who v>s now a colonel in the Camerons, he was very pleased to see the tartan. He felt that there was a likeness to the Old Country when he looked upon the tartan and the cut of the men comprising the bodyguard. The party reached town at 11 o'clock. An inspection oE the Cadets is now being held in the Show Grounds., The weather is fine, and there is a splendid turnout.
