The annual meeting of the eubscri bers to the Coronation Library was held on Tuesday, 21st April Owing ro tbe unsettled state'of the weather, tbere was not as good an attendance as there might otherwise haVji been. Those present were —Messrs W. Radford, H. Baines, D. Thompson, F. Hunt, W. McManus, H. Norria, W Whatman, H. Lewtbwaite, H. Gil man, G. Uarclay, A, Watson, and J. Jones. t

, Tbe Chairman said they ware to be congratulated on their very satisfac tory position, and on tbe motion of Mr H. Baines, seconded by Mr G. Barclay, th 6 balance sheet a read was adopted.
Tbe secretary reported that no ap plications i&d been received for the position of librarian, and it was decided to leave the matter in tbe hands of the incoming committee'to deal with.
Mr McManus proposed that a pre sentation be given to 1b.9 late Libra rian, Mr E Litten, for big long and faithful services to the library, and that tho arrangement be left in the band* of the Committee, the general public being invited to participate. Seconded by MrNorrie, and carried unanimously.
• The election of the incoming committee was then proceeded with, ten nominations being receivad for tbe seven vacancies.

Mr 11. Lewtbwaite said he was sorry to see tbat tbe late chairman bad not been re elected, as be knew what interest be took in library mat ters and what good work he had done for tbe library. Hβ bad much pleas uro in moving that a hearty vole of thanks be tendered him for his past services.
At a committee meeting held after I the annual meeting, it was decided toleave the election of a chairman and secretary till a full committee! present.
