EXCELLENT PRICES BECEIVED.

A most successful and spirited land sale was held previous to the stock sale a f . Duveu* ohelle on Friday, when Messrs fl. Matson & Co., in conjunction with Mr It. Latter, offered the estate of the late Mr Jeremiah Hunt, situated at Pigeon Bay, in four lots, and the goodwill of three Canterbury College reserves, with a tenure of about three years to run. The sale was one of the most spirited held foe % number of years on the Peninsula, and very good prices were ob. tamed. I very lot was sold at auction, and ! for eaoh lot there was spirited competition Mr Leicester Matson conducted the sale.

Tbe result of the sale is as follows :—

BLOCK I—HOMESTEAD. 445 Acres or thereabouts, together with House of 10 rooms, and all necessary outbuildings. Mr D, Hunt, Pigeon Bay, £27 5a per aore. BEOCK 2-Known ac GILLESPIE'S. Containing 85 Acre?, together with house of 8 rooms, cow yard, and shed, situate low down and close to the Main road and side school. Mr G. McKay, Pigeon Bay, £30 15s per acre. BLOCK 3-Known as NEIL'S. Comprising 40 Acre?, together with cot ■ tage of G rooms in good order, also cow shed. Mr C. Lyall, Pigeon Bay, £30 10j per acre. This property was bought in March, 1906, at £i! 2 153 per aore, showing the advance in the price of Peninsula land. BLOCK 4 —Section comprising about 7 Acres severed from the above by Pettigrew'e road. On this there is a cottage of 7 ! rooms and outbuildings: Mr J. Petti' grew, Pigeon Bay, £27 per acre.
