It was resolved that the drawing up of the specifications and calling for tenders be lefc in tbe hands , of a subcommittee consisting of Messrs Coop, Thompson, and Johnson. LITTLE RIVER DOMAIN BOARD Tbe annual and ordinary meeting of the Board was.held on Monday at Little River Present—Meesrs J. F. Buchanan, H. Cbaptnnrj/Ht'.ni?, and Johnson. Mr J, F. Buchanan wa3 elected acting chairman. An apology wa9 received from Mr W. H. Montgomery for unavoidable ab?eDce Tbe annual statement of account? was rend showing a credit balance ol £72 11s Bd. This was adopted sub-, ]ecb to audit. Mr Buchanan proposed (bah Mr W. H. Montgomery be re-elected chairman for the ourreas year. . ■ Seconded by Mr Johnson and car ' ried : • Okdinaey Meeting. The ordinary meeting was then held The same members were present. Messrs G. Breitmeyer und F. Read waited on the Board, on behalf of the Star Tenoia Club, and asked the Board to put down a new asphalt (ennis court on the site of the present grass court at Morice Domain, and if the request should be granted, the» Star Tennis Club would repair at its own fixpense the existing asphalt court and keep both asphalt courts in repair for future time. Mr Breitmeyor stated the present membership -was 30. Mr Chopman proposed thafc the Board pub an asphalt court on the site of the grass one at the Morice Domain, and that on expert be em ployed to do tbe work. Seconded by Mr Harris, and carried It was resolved that the gate near tbe tennis court on the Awa itiDomain be locked, and that a stile be erected for pedestrians, and also that the middle gate be locked. It was resolved that ■Mr Mont gomery and Mr Harris be appointed a ground committee, and be authorised to carry out from time to time acy necessary work which they deem should be carried out by the Board. Relative to the re leasing of reserve No. 1649, 62J acres, the lease which expired in July, it_ was resolved that a new lease of tbe property for five years, be offered by auction by Messrs H. Matson & Co* at the June t»a!e at Little River; also that Mr Harris be deputed to wait on the auctioneers relative to taking out an auctioneer's license in the County. Mr Buchanan promised to see to this matter for the County Council. Accounts amounting to £15 15s 6d Vere passed for payment
