Albert Bailey, a carrier, his wife and their child two and a half yean? of Bge, were crossing the line near, the North Bridgewater Station, when a train crashed into tbe vehicle. Bailey was decapitated and terribly mangled. Lis wife, while among tbe wreckage, with a mother's devotion, clung to her child, and said, " I shielded it." She bad several ribs broken, but the child was unhurt. The horses were cut to pieces and the vehicle carried 150 yards.
