AUTUMN SHOW ABANDONED
A meeting of the committee of the above Society was held last evening. There was a lengthy discussion re the holding of an autumn show. Messrs T eete, F. TayW and Archdeacon Stocker epoke o( the lack of enthusiasm In the shows of late years, and advised putting off the autumn show,
The hon. sec. (Mr F. Armstrong) said that the trouble was that the Association had struck two bad seasons. He opposed putting off the show, and moved the show be held.
Seconded by Mr jMottram pro ferma
The motion was lost,
A motion of appreciation of Archdeacon Stacker's work for the Association moved by the Mayor and seconded by Mr Lewitt was carried with aco'.amation, and the meeting terminated.
