Illinois, February 18
Two lads showed cuts and bruises in court during the trial of four religious enthusiastics belonging to Holiness cult, tbe lads alieging that th9y had been ill treated during church services. Enraged spectators seized Pastor Lyons, beat and kicked him, and attempted lynching. The sheriff's spacial force rescued the pastor. The mob'made a second attempt when the men were led off to prison, pending an appeal against the fine.
